Tank is a four year old neutered Mastiff mix.  He's roughly 140 pounds.  His current owner rescued him, and this is what she has to say about Tank:
It seems he was abused, by the way he sits, one leg goes straight out, and if he's over exercised, that's the leg that stiffens up on him. Half of a 100 mg Rimadyl at a time, seems to help. A whole one upsets his tummy.

Tank is a gentle giant. He's not at all aggressive. He's very sweet and laid back. He could be lazy with no problem! But he does love to play (when it's cool enough). He fetches and he'll either "drop" it when asked, play tug a whatever,. . .or he'll turn his body to play keep away. It's really funny and I think he thinks it's a riot!!! And then when he's done. . .he's done!! He'll bring his ball back inside the porch!

He absolutely loves to go for rides, LOVES to go to the creek, hikes in the woods, taking walks, and people. He loves people . . .after he sniffs around, he'll sit right in front of them and he might put a hand on them for more attention, but not all the time, and it's not encouraged!! He's a big boy, but would get up on any inviting lap!! He is very affectionate and is so very loving. He's just a sweetheart. Loves kisses on his head between his eyes!! LOL, he'll sit there in front of you and let you do that forever!! He even likes going to PetSmart! Very well behaved. He's excellent walking on a leash.

He has been around female dogs, loves them, but I don't remember him ever being around another male other than his brothers. And they have always got along great!! But then, that's how he was raised. They play together very well.

He's been raised around outside cats, and just wants to play!

He's been around farm animals, but he wants to chase and play with them, so that wasn't encouraged either.

He's played with older kids in the yard, but really has only been around kids when on his leash, walking, PetSmart, gas stations, places like that. He's just calm and soaks up their attention! Kids think he's so cool! Well, he is!!

He's not a jumper. . .thank goodness. He uses a ramp to get in and out of his truck. Doesn't even need a leash, just reassurance that I'm right there for him.

He doesn't "speak" on command, but will bark at something out of place or unusual (!!), and of course at any noise that sounds threatening. Perfect watch dog.

He likes his doc, too. He's very well behaved when we go for his yearly check-ups, which is current as of July, 2015.

He's not ignorant, but if he doesn't want to do something, he'll sit or lay down, but he'll either do it with sweet talk, or with no problem once on a leash. Gently, no need to pull or drag, he'll just start walking with me. Like for example. . .their pool. . .at first he goes back to the deck (not like when he was younger and he'd run and dive in, repeatedly), but when I get his collar and leash out, he'll immediately start walking and just get in and lay down, gets cool, drinks maybe and gets back out.

He likes treats! Never met a dog that doesn't! He gets a milk bone and a glucosamine sulfate vitamin wrapped in a small piece of sandwich cheese together every morning. If it's a work day, that's all he gets until I get home. I just never liked the thought of them having food in their tummies all day long and not able to get outside. And sometimes when I do feed them in the mornings, he might not even eat that until later in the day.He can stand long periods of being inside. . .as much as I hate doing that to him. He gets a scoop of oil on his food one time a day. And a piece of sandwich cheese wrapped glucosamine pill with his dinner, which is dry food, with the exception of canned food, or scrambled eggs mixed in with his regular dry food once in a while. (if the oil or the canned food isn't mixed, he'll get gas!!) And a milk bone after he eats, to clean his teeth. He likes chewies and Frosty Paws too!! Shoot, he likes anything!!

So, two glucosamine sulfate vitamins (wrapped in a piece of sandwich cheese!) and one spoon of oil a day.
He eats at least an hour before he can play. Or an hour after he's been playing, when he's done panting and good and relaxed. And he doesn't get a whole lot of water after he eats. Just being precautious against bloat.
He lets me clean his ears and give him pedicures, (with a "Peticure". that's a dremel with a guard) with no problem. We do these things on a regular basis. Sometimes he has to be reminded that it's ok and he needs to get back to relaxing, but he has never fought it. Then of course, he's rewarded!
He takes an outside bath really well, on his leash. Haven't tried it without a leash. And he hasn't been in a tub since he was a baby.

He enjoys being dried off and rubbed with a towel when coming in from the rain and he knows to go over and stand on the rug to "dry your feet" before coming inside!!
He has a tendency to lay in the hot sun, not good, but he comes right in when told.

He likes to sit outside after dark, when it's nice and cool. Sometimes even when it's bedtime!

He's absolutely an inside boy, that sleeps his own doggie mattress (!!).

He has never been kenneled, since he was rescued. I always got a sitter when I went on vacation.

He likes to be brushed, and he even likes to be vacuumed off!!

Unless he's told otherwise, he thinks when his brother gets a toy, that it's actually his. He's not aggressive about it and they will play with one toy together, but he's a tank!!

He walks in and out of doors behind me, but first before his brother. Again, not aggressive, but with his size, Buster just stands back and lets him!!

All in all, he's a very calm, laid back boy, that loves to be loved. He's calming.
