Paws Crossed Dog Rescue serves the Eastern Panhandle of WV and surrounding areas. Please read "Adoption Info" on the left of our website.
Ivy comes to us from a rural, southern WV shelter, where her time was getting very limited. We pulled her to safety just in time, and she's now in a wonderful foster home, where she can be the fabulous girl that she was meant to be! We've had her completely vetted, spayed, and now she gets socialization skills, so she'll be the best girl she can be! We will not place her in a home that uses any electronic fence device. We don't know how she'd do with cats.
**Note from foster: Ivy came to us from the shelter as a shy and cautious girl. She needs careful introductions with other dogs as she tends to bark in a way that might send the wrong signal. Once in our home, she found her place in the pack within a few days and is now good buddies with the three other dogs here. She is loyal, eager to please, and food motivated. We are working on basic commands. She does well on a leash and loves wrestling and running with the other dogs here. Ivy is one of those dogs that checks on us and each of the other dogs at night before she tucks herself in. She wags her tail with happiness at your sheer presence in the room. She is a joy to foster and provides a wonderful playmate for our other dogs. She is somewhat dominant initially so I would recommend pairing her with a more submissive friend(s) in her forever home.
