Carl comes to us from southern WV, where he was turned into the shelter as an owner surrender because he was no longer wanted.

He's a sweet little boy, and will charm you with his personality and unconditional love. He's fine with cats.  He hates kids.

Carl was a very nervous dog when he came to our rescue.  He was head-shy, and did not like to be picked up.  Just a couple weeks in his foster home, and he's learning to trust again!  We're able to pick him up & love on him without stressing him out.  He has a wagging tail and is thriving in his foster home!  We know he's going to be a great family companion.  He'll need a home with lots of patience, and one that allows him time to decompress without too much stimulation.

Carl smiles when he's excited and happy.  He's just precious!  He hates children, though.
