Barnabus comes to us from rural southern WV.  He was pulled to safety by local authorities from a neglectful home.  He was taken to the shelter, and was "next" on the euthanasia list.  That's when we stepped in and agreed to welcome him into the PCDR family!  We think he's a St. Bernard, Spaniel, and/or Pointer mix.  He is absolutely glorious!  Look at all the photos!

Some information on Barnabus:  He's 55 pounds, and loves to be held.  He believes he's a lap dog.  He's neutered, fine with other dogs, cats, and older/more mature children.  He was described by shelter volunteers as being shy, reserved, and a little scared in the shelter.

After arriving on transport, he went to the groomer for a nice bath and good clean-up.  He did wonderfully with the groomer, and wanted held as he was getting brushed.  He rides wonderfully in the car, and is fine on a leash.  He's a big baby.
